Editor of The Mooi 2011

Constant development is the law of life, and someone who always tries to maintain his beliefs in order to appear reliable may end up in the wrong position. You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the people in it. This is why each of us must work for our own improvement and at the same time share a responsibility for our community. Our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful.

Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success, have no meaning.

If you don’t like something change it: if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t waste energy trying to cover failure up. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. Its fine to fail. If you’re not failing, your not growing.

This year saw many changes in the Boys High environment. Our classrooms and the outside of the school buildings were painted. The new color looks very good and it has given many of our teachers the opportunity to give their classrooms a bit of a face lift.

The Granton hostel bathrooms were upgraded, and the gardens around the school also received a face lift.

A new RCL has been elected. This change in leadership will test the vision of the school as  a Center of Excellence. There have been and will be changes in the staff, and new challenges to be faced.

Embrace change!

Learn from it.

Grow because of it.

Thank You to everyone that was involved with the yearbook this year (2011). All your assistance is much appreciated. A special word of thanks goes to Mrs Henrey for the spellcheck and editing help, I could not do this without you.
